Why is sustainability critical to your business strategy?

The right environmental, sustainability and governance strategy can help with risk mitigation, opportunity assessment, government financial incentives and long term viability.

That’s why 96% of the largest global companies and 50% of small to medium sized businesses commit to sustainability reporting,

which protects your assets against business, environmental, regulatory, and reputational risks.

Our expertise is in working with small to medium sized organizations and we can help you navigate this path forward.

Companies that place importance on environmental, social, and governance factors have seen profits rise 9.1% and revenues grow 9.7% over the past three years.

Legal impacts for sustainability

In an effort to tackle climate change, the Inflation Reduction Agreement 2022 climate bill is charging a methane penalty fee for exceeding the federal limit, but giving tax credits for companies that implement carbon capture and storage systems into their business models. If you’re unsure about these measures, we can help you stay up-to-date with this and other climate bills.

C180 kW RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD SOLAR RETROFIT

We provided a financial, health and environmental assessment of going solar for a 40-year-old neighborhood and addressed how to overcome its logistical, financial and political challenges.

  • Considering solar was likely a nonstarter due to complex rooflines, a mix of seasonal and year-round residents, condo documents restrictions and varying degrees of motivation.

  • We ran an assessment of solar viability including a calculation of energy needs, a cost-benefit analysis, an estimate of energy needs for each unit, calculation of health impacts and government incentives; and made recommendations around the path forward.

  • Implementing an average of 11 solar panels per home would reduce 87% greenhouse gas emissions and save 79.5 metric tons of CO2 emissions.

We recommended tackling this as individual homeowners rather than as a collective community due to tax incentives.
